The Power of One – Double Olympic Champion Alex Gregory MBE Empowers Mint Property Finance

Mint welcomed a new face to the team this week in the form of Double Olympic Champion and Multiple World Champion Alex Gregory MBE.

The esteemed rower who, with the men’s four, was crowned Olympic champion at London 2012 and Rio 2016, joined the Mint team at a company conference in Cheshire, speaking on the ‘power of one’ – the importance of every single individual in achieving team success.

Drawing on his own personal experience, Gregory spoke of his professional journey, from his early days as a newcomer to the discipline, to that of both an individual high performer and team high performer.

The honest and engaging presentation touched upon the benefits of pulling together as a team and highlighted the importance of clear and transparent communication, clarity over the goal and clarity of the role of the individual in achieving collective success.

It was a fitting presentation for Mint’s staff, as the entire team united for the first time since the start of the pandemic to celebrate ten years of sustained business growth, including a record-breaking year; and to share the business’s vision for 2022 and beyond.

Speaking on the event, Founder and Managing Director of Mint Property Finance, Andrew Lazare, said: “The last 18 months have on a personal level, been a difficult time for everyone. As a business the pandemic has however further united us.

It follows an impressive nine months for Mint, which has seen record business growth including expansion in Scotland and the South, and the launch of Mint Property Finance’s new suite of market-leading ‘Power Products,’ designed to change the future of lending.
