Mint Property Finance promotes Sam Herd to Head of Credit
Leading specialist finance lender, Mint Property Finance, has today announced the promotion of Sam Herd to the position of Head of Credit.
Sam, who started her career at the Inland Revenue in 2002, and who has been with Mint Property Finance for over seven years, has today been elevated to the role of Head of Credit. This announcement comes as Peter Howarth retires from this position in the business following seven successful years, as part of a career spanning nearly four decades.
Commenting on Sam’s promotion to Head of Credit and Peter Howarth’s retirement, Andrew Lazare, Director, said: “Sam is Peter’s natural successor in the business, with the two of them having worked together on thousands of loans over the course of the last seven years. Peter has made a massive contribution to Mint, educating the team, establishing our systems and processes as well as safely navigating us through some challenging market conditions. And following a successful six-month hand-over period to enhance Sam’s skills even further, we’re very much looking forward to seeing how she will further develop our offer as we seek to become the easiest Lender in the market to do business with.”
Commenting on her recent promotion, Sam, Head of Credit, said: “Pete has been an inspiration to both me and the wider team here at Mint. His expertise and common-sense approach, often in the face of some incredibly complex deals, is something I’m looking forward to emulating. Mint’s experience and expertise in the market is unparalleled, meaning this is an incredibly exciting promotion.”
