  • What scope of works can be completed using a Light Works Loan?

    Works planned for use with a Light Works Loan must not require planning permission (Permitted development extensions acceptable), and maximum funds for refurbishment are £100,000. Developments are to be completed in line with an agreed Schedule of Work, although we will apply a light touch to the assessment of progress, with photographic and film updates replacing personal inspections as has been traditionally necessary.

  • Who can get a Light Works Loan?

    All types of borrowers are considered, including Corporate Borrowers, Trusts, Overseas Borrowers, Individual Borrowers, UK and Foreign Nationals. Borrowers must be a homeowner or own at least 1 UK property. This product was developed with experienced Borrowers in mind, so evidence of additional net assets may be required.

  • What is rolled-up interest?

    Rolled-up interest means there are no monthly interest payments required for the duration of the loan term. Instead, interest is ‘rolled up’ and paid as a lump sum at the end of the loan term. This is recommended for use by experienced Borrowers with a viable exit strategy to cover both loan repayment and interest cover.
